Son Of God, period!

On a side note, did you know that Jesus had the legal right to the throne through his step father Joseph (being a direct descendant of King David) but the blood right came through his mother Mary? Remember that God promised King David that through his line would come the messiah. (2 Samuel 7:12-13) So the messiah would have to have both the legal right but also the blood right from King David too. That sounds easy enough as long as there is a son to keep the line going but a few generations later the prophet Jeremiah placed a curse on that blood line claiming that no man from this line will sit on a throne in Israel again. Sounds like a contradiction doesn't it? The other way to fulfill the promise and bypass the curse would be to not have that blood line in your heritage. But how on earth is that possible? Well simply put, Not on earth at all! The virgin birth! Through the virgin birth Jesus received the blood line of King David, Son of Jesse. But Hebrew law didn't allow Mary the mother a right to the throne. Only the father carried that line. But Jesus' father was Joseph who adopted Jesus as his own. With that under Hebrew law all rights could be given to your adopted son. Like an inheritance! So Jesus got the legal claim through Joseph who Joseph being from the cursed line but still the first born son from each generation back to King David. Mary, the blood line which escaped the curse by flowing around the cursed son and into the second son.
